Eduardo Díaz is the director of the Smithsonian Latino Center. Before joining the Smithsonian, Díaz was the executive director of the National Hispanic Cultural Center in Albuquerque, N.M., a position he held since August 2005.

Director Diaz’  presentation will focus on the role of curators and how diversifying curatorial ranks can help museums tell the whole story. He will discuss the Smithsonian’s Latino Curatorial Initiative as a doable and effective strategy for ensuring Latino presence at the institution.
