The Yale Center for the Study of Race, Indigeneity, and Transnational Migration dissertation writing groups provide a space for doctoral students, in all programs and departments, who are writing dissertations on topics related to race, indigeneity, and/or transnational migration, to share their own work, and to provide helpful, constructive feedback to others, while making progress towards their degrees.
The groups, of 6 to 12 members each, will meet at least once every two weeks for one to two hours. Participants are expected to attend consistently in Fall and Spring semesters.
Applicants should be doctoral students who have an approved prospectus and are eager to share their work and receive commentary and critique from their peers.
Meetings will be held in the Center’s offices in 35 Broadway (behind Toad’s). Refreshments will be provided by the Center.
Applications are due on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at noon. The groups will begin regular meetings in early October.
