Can I receive the RITM Mellon Artist/Practitioner Fellowship if I have Received the Mellon Artist Practitioner Fellowship from Brown, Stanford, or University of Chicago in a previous year? Can multiple fellowships be awarded concurrently?

No. If you have received the Mellon Artist/Practitioner Fellowship from a member of the Centering Race Consortium (CRC) in a previous year, you are not eligible to receive one from another school in the future. The CRC confers each award cycle to ensure there is no overlap among awardees.

The fellowship cannot be awarded to those with a current Yale affiliation; however, alumni and former employees are welcome to apply.

Faculty, staff, and students of other institutions are welcome to apply.

Does my project qualify?

The committee is unable to individually assess project proposals prior to application submission.

I am working on a project with a collaborator- can/should we apply together?

Do I need a letter of recommendation or other confirmation of interest for item 5, “Names of campus units or individuals with whom you might engage at Yale”?
