YaleNews: Filmmaker will explore race, sports, and documentaries in two talks

Documentary filmmaker Gaspar González, a graduate of Yale’s American Studies doctoral program, will be on campus April 12-13, 2018, to participate in two events as a Poynter Fellow in Journalism and a guest of Yale Public Humanities.

González is the filmmaker of behind “A Long Way from Home: The Untold Story of Baseball’s Desegregation” (2018), which was made with Matthew Jacobson, William Robertson Coe Professor of American Studies and History. Jacobson is also chair of the program in Ethnicity, Race, and Migration.
