Matthew Tanico is the Associate Director of the Center for the Study of Race, Indigeneity, and Transnational Migration. Previously, Matthew served as Project Specialist in the Graduate School and Faculty of Arts and Sciences Dean’s Office. He has also taught in the Department of Spanish & Portuguese at New York University.
Matthew holds a B.A. in Spanish and Italian (summa cum laude) from New York University and Ph.D. in Spanish and Renaissance Studies from Yale. His scholarly research focuses on material culture in early modern Spanish literature, particularly in the work of Miguel de Cervantes. He is a fellow of Branford College.
