The Yale Center for the Study of Race, Indigeneity, and Transnational Migration dissertation writing groups provide a space for doctoral students, in all programs and departments, who are writing dissertations on topics related to race, indigeneity, and/or transnational migration, to share their own work, and to provide helpful, constructive feedback to others, while making progress towards their degrees.
Groups of 4-6 members each will meet weekly for 90 minutes, followed by voluntary group writing time. A facilitator from the Graduate Writing Lab will coordinate meetings and discussions. Participants are expected to attend consistently throughout the semester.
Applicants should be doctoral students who have an approved prospectus and are eager to share their work and receive feedback from their peers.
Meetings will be held in the RITM offices on the second floor of 35 Broadway. Refreshments will be provided.
Applications to join the group in Fall 2019 are due on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at noon.
