Christina Cano is a Miami-raised Latine researcher, writer, and artist interested in race, urbanism, settler colonialism, policing, and political economy. They have a B.A. with honors in Sociology and Creative Writing from the University of Chicago and are currently a Ph.D. student in Sociology and African American Studies at Yale University, whose mixed methods research on municipal redistricting and policing with the UChicago Justice Project resulted in co-authored publications in Social Problems and The University of Chicago Law Review. Their current research examines the relationship between urbanization, racial capitalism, and carceral geographies.
