Claire Crow

Claire Crow is a first-year doctoral student in English where she works with the field of Medieval Studies. She considers how the histories of race, bio/necropolitics, sexuality, and medicine intersect with literatures from the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. Looking at the ways in which medieval Christian European writers racialize and sexualize noblewomen, her recent work has explored how these poems craft sensationalized, colonialist fantasies of Christian geopolitical dominance.
