Ph.D. Student | History

David Kerry

David is a first year doctoral student in the Department of History. His research interests primarily center on global anticolonialism with a specific focus on 20th century North American Indigenous organizations. His work aims to integrate and delineate how Indigenous organizations constituted themselves as allies to postcolonial states and organizations that operated within the international system of nation-states. He is interested in further integrating the way that historians relate Indigenous North American histories and global histories of decolonization without relying settler states as an intermediary of analysis. David holds a BA in History from Reed College and is from Tucson, Arizona.
