Summer Colloquia

The application cycle is now open! Apply here.

Deadline: April 25th 2025, 1pm

The Yale Center for the Study of Race, Indigeneity, and Transnational Migration (RITM) seeks to fund research colloquia organized by graduate or professional students that will meet in the month of August 2025, in advance of the start of fall term. Eligible programming must include one or more virtual meetings of small groups (approximately 5 or more participants). Students are encouraged to invite speakers who may include faculty, artists, practitioners, activists, or others with whom they would like to engage. Meetings should have a strong academic focus and may include discussions of pre-assigned readings.

Proposals should be 1-2 paragraphs and must include:

  • Use of funds (funds may be used to cover one book per participant and one honorarium of up to $500)
  • Format of programming and invited speaker
  • List of anticipated participants or, if applying as member of an established group (e.g. pre-existing colloquium group), number of group members
