The Race, Social Justice, and Democracy Plenary will bring together scholars, practitioners, and artists from across the Centering Race Consortium (CRC), a collaboration with the Center for the Study of Race and Ethnicity in American (CSREA) at Brown University, the Center for Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity (CCSRE) at Stanford University, the Center for the Study of Race, Indigeneity, and Transnational Migration (RITM) at Yale University, and the Center for the Study of Race, Politics, and Culture (CSRPC) at the University of Chicago. The two-day program will include a series of panels, roundtables, and showcases that build upon the important interventions each center has cultivated over the four year collaboration.
Join us for a series of panels, roundtables, and posters on race and racism, freedom and democracy, and the role of the university in the current political climate. Featured guests include; Tricia Rose, Jennifer Richeson, Ana Minian, Stephen Pitti, Alicia Schmidt Camacho, Paula Moya, Ramon Saldívar, Gina Miranda Samuels, and colleagues across the Mellon Centering Race Consortium (Yale, Brown, Stanford, and the University of Chicago.)
