John Mollet is a first year doctoral student in the American Studies program and a 2023-2024 fellow at the Yale Center for the Study of Race, Indigeneity and Transnational Migration. He is an first-generation Urban Indigenous (Assiniboine-Nakota Sioux) scholar from San Diego, California. He graduated from San Diego State University with a BA and MA in History.
His research looks at Native American political activism during the Cold War, the complex identity and experiences of the Native American soldier and veteran and the history of Indigenous resistance to U.S. military enlistment.
