john-mollet.jpgJohn Mollet is a third-year PhD student in the American Studies program. He is a first-generation Urban Indigenous (Assiniboine-Nakota Sioux) scholar from San Diego, California. He graduated from San Diego State University with a BA and MA in History. He was a 2023–2024 Fellow at the Yale Center for the Study of Race, Indigeneity, and Transnational Migration (RITM) and is a current Racisms and Colonialisms Fellow. His research looks at Native American political activism during the Cold War, the complex identity and experiences of the Native American soldier and veteran, and the history of Indigenous resistance to U.S. military enlistment.
