Lisa Beyeler-Yvarra is a first-year doctoral student in Religious Studies where she works in the fields of American Religious History and Religion and Modernity. Situated at the nexus of religion, race, and the built environment, Lisa's research foregrounds the built environment as a conceptual and historical lens to examine the spatial manifestations of religious and racial imaginaries in urban landscapes. She holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Washington and a M.Div. and a Th.M. from Duke University.
