Abigail Calderon Garcia

Abigail is a first-year PhD student in History. Her interests are in the history of multiethnic urban communities, transnationalism, remembrance, and political coalition-building. At Yale, Abigail plans to explore the history of small businesses as social, cultural, and political anchors in Latinx communities, particularly how they exert alternative forms of power to shape community interactions and local histories.
