Alison Lee
Alison (she/her) is a senior studying Ethnicity, Race, and Migration and pursuing the Education Studies certificate at Yale. As a Mellon Mays and RITM Undergraduate Fellow, her research is dedicated to tracing Korean leftist nationalism, with a specific focus on Korean American Marxist and decolonial thought, and transnational reverberations of the Korean anticolonial project. Alongside her research, Alison is passionate about working alongside Asian American anti-imperial advocacy groups in her home of southern California.
On campus, she has served as a co-director of the Yale Hunger and Homelessness Action Project, an English language tutor for local residents, and a Yale President’s Public Service Fellow for the city of New Haven. Beyond Yale, she is passionate about food and housing access in urban communities, and has worked with Martha’s Table as a Community Intern in Washington, D.C. Looking to the future, she hopes to gain teaching experience and deepen her Korean language skills before applying to doctoral programs in History and American Studies. In her free time, you can find her taking long walks while listening to Lorde or cooking with her friends.
