Seth (Dani) is a first-year linguistics PhD student primarily interested in the documentation and revitalization of Indigenous languages of the American Southeast, as well as the effects of colonization on language change. They primarily work with Choctaw (in connection with the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians), but also Timucua and other members of the Muskogean language family. Dani received a BA and MA (both in linguistics) from the University of Florida in 2020 and 2021 respectively.
