Sandra Xiomara Sánchez is Curator of Indigenous Collections at the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library, as well as a PhD Candidate in History at Yale University. Their dissertation project traces a history of deportation and border enforcement for tribal nations living along and across the U.S.-Mexico and U.S.-Canada border regions. Sánchez graduated from the University of Kansas with a B.A. in History and Chinese in 2018, and has worked in various museums and libraries, including the Smithsonian National Museum of American History and the Yale Peabody Museum.
